🧘 Monk Thought

“Humanity, take a good look at yourself.
Inside, you have heaven and earth,
and all of creation.
You are a world — everything is hidden in you.”

Hildegard of Bingen

💡 Monk Light

Before science told us we were made of stars, Hildegard already knew.

She saw the soul not as something to escape, but something to embody.

She believed you carry the entire cosmos within you.

Not metaphorically — actually.

To her, illness came from disconnection — from nature, from the divine, from your own rhythm.

And healing?

That came through music, herbs, stillness, breath, and truth.

Not away from the body, but deeper into it.

She didn’t whisper it.

She declared it: You are a world.

Hildegard of Bingen (1098–1179) was a German Benedictine abbess, mystic, composer and healer

👣 Monk Move

Today, sit quietly and bring your hand to your chest.

Feel your breath.

Say to yourself:

“Heaven and earth live in me.”

Then carry that knowledge into the next thing you do.
